A personal message from WRA President Patricia Schnepp

Dear Westchester Residents,

The all-volunteer Board of the Westchester Residents Association fosters many important goals for our community, including:

  • Welcoming new residents and encouraging good
relations by sponsoring social events designed to
bring neighbors together to become better acquainted.

  • Informing residents of local news which affects them,
such as road closings, seasonal leaf pickup, street
    maintenance, and nearby traffic issues.

  • Coordinating with our elected alderman to resolve
    problems and resident complaints.

  • Assisting local police to promote peace and safety
    within the subdivision.

  • Providing residents with a forum to meet local
government representatives, ask questions and express
    concerns.

  • Preserving the aesthetics of the subdivision by enforcing
the covenants of our community, which enhances property
values and increases the desirability of living in Westchester.

  • Facilitating good civic relations with city and county
    government.

  • Promoting good relations with surrounding neighborhoods
    and businesses.

For years the Westchester Residents Association, a not-for-profit organization, has worked to advance these goals and to improve upon our progress each year.  To make Westchester a truly desirable place to live, we need the cooperation and financial support of our residents.

If you are a resident of Westchester Subdivision, and you find these goals worthwhile, we hope you will support us by sending in your annual dues each year.  The modest annual dues of $15.00 per household [$10.00 per senior household], payable in November (or earlier) for the following year, enable us to continue working for you.

We are grateful to the many individuals who have served the Board in various capacities in the past and the residents who have financially supported our efforts.  You have empowered us to work for the welfare of all our residents.  We welcome your suggestions and participation,
and we work diligently to be good stewards of the funds we receive.

Please join us at our next Annual Meeting, November 6, 2025, at 7:00 pm, at the Parkway Christian Church. Let’s work together to make Westchester an outstanding Springfield community!

Sincerely,

Patricia Schnepp

President
Westchester Residents Association
